How does APR make the factory ignition coils better?
We focus on performance. Our coils are made to work more efficiently by using thicker copper windings, which lowers resistance while keeping enough turns to keep the voltage right. We also make the neodymium magnets bigger and stronger — all while staying within the coil’s size limits. We also improve the silicon steel shield, which helps reduce energy loss and improves the flow of magnetic fields in pencil-style coils. Voltage is carefully controlled using Zener diodes, which let us manage resistance and primary inductance exactly.
